I Am Now

I am now as I was then

Still

Does it have to be always

Maybe

I am now more than I was then

Always

Still

Yes, it is

I am now living alone

With family

Close by

Cellular, really

Nothing compares

I go out and I come in

It is

I cook and clean and sleep

Always

I dream

Every night

Always

Deep inside and nowhere

I pluck my eyebrows

And shave my legs

And shampoo my hair

Suffer MOHS

The world has changed

Since I was born

Stock markets and cell phones

And cosmetic surgery

I still find grace

Although I recognize a different god

In look and feel, perhaps

The same in reverence

I am now

Loving you

Still

Always
